The Witcher Devon Bragg

claiming the right of the Law of Destiny 6 years ago, Geralt returns to Emperor Emthyr, to claim his child to take to become a witcher. Normally, only sons are made into Witchers, but Cirilla is known to have Elder blood within her, so Geralt decides that training her wouldn't hurt. Geralt has no idea what to do with a royal little girl, but after killing a Zuegal, he takes her with him, both unsure of whats to come.

In order to find the cure to curse, Geralt of Rivia must travel through Crookback Bog, a infamous bog in Velen that is known for taking more lives than war. On his way in, Geralt stumbles upon a Drowner nest. Drowner's, the remnants of men and women who have died in water, form into a fish like abomination. Already wounded from a fight with a Fiend, Geralt is overcome by a swarm fo Drowners and for a chapter, it seems hopeless that he'll return.

Geralt's main quest is to break the curse of the Striga( a man eating she-beast) - who just happens to be the daughter of the King.

Eredin, the Leader of the Wild Hunt, a spectral group of elves from a separate world, capture Yennefer of Venderberg to use her powers to find Cirilla. As much as Geralt tries to save her, and the innocents in The Wild Hunt's path, they kill countless humans and non-humans in their search for Yennefer and Cirilla. Geralt later then attempts to bargain for Yennefer, by trading himself for her.

Having had lost Yennefer to the Wild Hunt, the beaten and wounded Geralt questions the Witcher code and himself.
