----original proposal----

My goal for the final project is to design and build two simple(in terms of function/mechanics) marionettes (diagram sketch attached) that will be silly and brightly designed, and are small and light enough for manipulation by children (8+). A logo will be designed for branding and then used in a short demonstration video(the puppets acting in an environment) of the marionettes which will function as a product demo or for marketing the sale of them directly to buyers.

This project can also be tweaked towards a focus on the marionettes as characters to make a short narrative pitch video that would be working in a more surreal aesthetic. It would potentially be accessible but not necessarily limited to an older audience (teens to adult). The video could also be used as a basis for independently developing a web series, which could be monetized through views or marketing runs of puppets based on or working in the same aesthetic as the video.

For either option the schedule would be:

Week one (mon 21st, day of): have puppet and logo designs, along with a rough story board ready for critique.

Week two ( mon 21- sun27): finalize and build puppets and logo along with beginning construction of any element needed for video (nothing complex)

Week three (mon 28-sun 4) finish any elements and tweek things as needed before then shooting and editing video for presenting(hosted through YouTube) on mon 5.
