“Now in truth,” quoth that man, “I would I had here for thy love, the
dearest thing that I wield; for truly ye have right oft in reason deserved
a greater reward than I could reckon. But to exchange with you
love-tokens, that would profit but little.” […]
“Now, courteous and honourable one,” quoth that lovesome lady,
“though I shall have nothing of yours, yet shall ye have of mine.”

Love Sketch
A sample of a page from the small book I'm making about love.
Each spread features an object, paired with a memory that said object was involved in. The memories chosen show a glimpse at a time when I felt loved by the person who gave me that item.
The format will be a stitched booklet, and will feature 8 memories/items/spreads and a cover.
The items will be comprised of traditionally altered photos (transparencies drawn and scanned, graphite and gesso).
The memories will be rendered like digital negatives, loosely and crudely (as in the sample).

Sketches for Love assignment. ^^^^
Space and lots of nebulas inside the little hands, probably going to be in Acrylic or gouache.
MICA redesign
I plan on trying my first illustrative sculpture piece. I plan on creating two character figures and photographing them together. The idea for the finished images will be that they are having a moment of warmth and tenderness together while the outside world can seem cold and dreary. I'm creating their bodies out of armature wire, aluminum foil, and ace bandages, then making their heads and hands out of sculpey, which I will also paint with details once it is baked. I will then sew them clothing, including a small hand knit scarf that will wrap around them both in the photos, symbolic of their connection. Here is a sketch of an idea of what I want their faces to look like and also a photo of a sample face I experimented with with a different kind of clay.

Gawain and Lady Bertilak as a study of courtly love, during the pivotal point in the legend where the knight struggles to resist her less-than-platonic advances.
Next step is colorization(2/3 layers) with texture and paint cleanup until completion.
Known issues with the portrait of the lady and the arm of the knight will be corrected before color adjustment.
