Final Project Proposal: Iceland- inspired surface design.

My final project will be focused on Icelandic geography and biology. The final will be one surface design for notebooks/ postcards/ gift wrap. The design will depict the most prominent elements in Icelandic geography and biology such as sheep, puffins, specific flowers, moss, etc. The final items with the surface design will be placed in the context of tourism. The audience would be visitors of Iceland ages 15+ purchasing the items as souvenirs. The goal is to make an attractive, playful, and informative design that can be used on multiple surfaces. The purpose of this project is to expand my portfolio in the realm of surface design and create an addition to my thesis theme; Iceland. 

Schedule:  Week 1 (Nov 21-28): Sketches + color mockup

Week 2 (Nov. 28- Dec 5): Final due, digital preview of items with design.
