Festas de Lisboa 2012 - Sardine - 2

German filmmaker, Wim Wenders did part of his movie, Lisbon Story, in Alfama.

Conserveira de Lisboa (The Lisbon Cannery store). This is a wonderful preserved-fish store with hundreds of colorful tins of the Portuguese favorite fish. It’s been open for 80 years and well worth a visit, even if you don’t like fish!. 

Arraial: 

In June, people spend a lot of time outside. After work, they meet with friends or families in small restaurants installed in all public places, and even on sidewalks. Of course, the main menu are the Sardines, but also grilled pork chops.
In most cases, there is live music and people can also dance.
