I decided to do a book cover for Mary Brave Bird's first novel, Lakota Woman. It sort of looks like a movie poster, actually. The autobiography tells of her upbringing, including her struggle with poverty, identity, and racial and sexual harassment as an American Indian. The figures below her represent pivotal people in her life, including her mother and husband.
