Self-Assignment

Working from the silhouette sheet I presented and the critique I received last class, I finished two character turnaround sheets and three renders of other characters, one of whom received 2 alternate renders for the sake of conceptualizing.

The project followed an idea for a science-fiction/fantasy project following a post-human society that loses the ability to die -- without cause for even unnatural death, victims of attempted murder instead are broken up into component parts of both body and mind, and usually require assistance returning to normal life. Providing that assistance is especially important, since in a state of reduced mental faculty these victims are usually unable to help identify their assailants -- detectives therefore also play the role of medics and psychotherapists, and utilize different types of skillsets to help restore assault victims to the way they were.

I have included the original silhouette sheet and color silhouette roughs for reference.

I enjoyed thsi project and intend to work independently on the concept in the future.
